How to open and view information in the DirectX Diagnostic Tool

You can check if your system meets the minimum requirements for the game by following a few easy steps.

  1. Hold down the Windows Key (the key with the Windows flag) on your keyboard. While holding down the Windows key, press the R Key to open the Run dialog box.
  2. Type dxdiag into the box that pops up and then left click on the OK If asked “Do you like to check if your drivers are digitally signed?”, click Yes. The DirectX Diagnostic Tool program should now be open.
  3. Left click on the button that says Save All Information. This will open a window that will prompt you to select a directory to save the file of the information collected from the DirectX program. Do not change the directory and simply select Save. You should now have a file that says Dxdiag.txt on your computer’s Desktop screen and can now close the DirectX Diagnostic Tool program by clicking on Exit.
  4. Double left click on the txt file. In here you can check the sections System Information and Display Devices and compare the system specifications to the game’s minimum requirements.
